Cafés and restaurants abound in Pavia, offering traditional local cuisine (pizza, pasta, risotto, polenta…) and also fusion and vegan food. In addition to the University cafeterias, Semester Abroad students may also take advantage of student discounts offered by many local cafés and restaurants.

Daily (monday to friday) at the University refectories students can have lunch choosing among many varieties of panini, pizza and typical italian food dishes. Pasta and risotto, vegetables and salads, meat or vegetarian courses, fruit and sweets.

A typical lunch or dinner (3 courses) at the university refectory includes: a first course (generally pasta or risotto) or a second course (meat, fish or eggs) with a side dish, bread, a dessert or a piece of fruit and water.
